Bumbershoot 2010 is upon us this Labor Day weekend, with the festival celebrating 40 years of bringing some of the world’s best talent to Seattle. Lots of folks (even Mayor Mike McGinn) have been asking what day they’ll be able to catch us perform, but unfortunately, we won’t be making an appearance at this year’s festival.

As those of you attending are watching our funky soul sistahs THEESatisfaction rock the EMP Sky Church, checking out our friends McTuff Trio jamming at the Northwest Court Stage, and running to the Mainstage to catch a glimpse of Bob Dylan, we’ll be busy in the studio recording the next album.

So far we’ve clocked a little over 200 hours at Aleph Studios in West Seattle and right now it’s looking like we’ll do another 100 before we start mixing. Long and arduous, but the good thing is we’re loving every minute of it, and we can’t wait to drop this when it’s good and ready. So what will the future hold? Don’t know. But we’ll catch you on that wave when it comes.
